Cisco’s new Desk Pro G2 desk device which was annouced at ISE and Cisco Live this year is now certified for Teams Rooms
The Desk Pro G2 is a 27″ 4K touch collaboration display with dual 4K, 48MP cameras, which include a 105° wide‑angle lens for capturing up to ~5 people in a huddle, and an 8‑microphone array with AI audio processing. It also has optional Active stylus, (VESA) adapter / wall mount kit and replaceable metal speaker grille.
Cisco’s positioning of the Desk Pro G2 is that it has been built for both personal and small huddle spaces
List prices are around $6k. Cisco partners able to provide loan devices and discounts off this price.
This device can ship as a traditional Cisco Webex device (Cisco Room OS) and as a native Microsoft Teams Room device on Android device via MDEP (Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform), making it a plug‑and‑play Express Room compatible (Microsoft’s express auto-deploy configuration tool which works much in the same way Autopilot works Windows devices).
This is also Cisco’s first MDEP device that runs Android 15.
What is MDEP?
Microsoft’s MDEP approach enables OEMs like Cisco, Yealink, Logitech etc to ship devices with native Teams Rooms on Android while preserving vendor management and AI features.
Cisco’s MTR device pages explicitly call out MDEP readiness and the Desk Pro G2 as a Teams‑certified desk/huddle option and Microsoft list them as MDEP certified on their Teams device certification pages.

This aligns Cisco’s hardware capabilities with Microsoft’s push for simplified, secure Android‑based Teams Rooms.
Thoughts
I love this device. Cisco markets the Desk Pro G2 as both a premium personal/exec desk device and a huddle/focus room device with quick deployment and wall‑mount options. I see this as great for home working exec and dedicated offices and for huddle spaces in offices. They look absolutely gorgeous whether you are a Cisco house, Microsoft house or zoom users.
